Author Guidelines

1. Focus and Scope

The Journal of Community Service accepts articles based on community service activities that have a real impact on society. These may include areas such as education, health, social issues, economy, technology, environment, and other fields relevant to community empowerment.

2. Types of Accepted Articles

  • Community service activity reports

  • Community empowerment models

  • Community service program evaluations

  • Social impact studies of community service

3. General Writing Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be written in proper Indonesian or English.

  • Articles must be original, unpublished, and not under review in other journals.

  • Word count between 4,000–6,000 words (including abstract and references).

  • Manuscript format: Microsoft Word, A4 paper, 1.5 spacing, Times New Roman 12 pt font, margins: 3 cm (left), 2.5 cm (top, right, bottom).

4. Article Structure

  1. Title (maximum 15 words)
    Should be informative, specific, and reflect the article content.

  2. Author Name(s) and Affiliation
    Include full name (no academic title), institutional affiliation, and corresponding email.

  3. Abstract (150–200 words)
    Written in both Indonesian and English, including objectives, methods, results, and impact.

  4. Keywords (3–5 words)
    Separated by commas.

  5. Introduction
    Background, objectives, urgency, and relevant literature review.

  6. Implementation Method
    Explain the approach, activity steps, location, target partners, and evaluation methods.

  7. Results and Discussion
    Present the activity results, community involvement, challenges, solutions, and impact analysis.

  8. Conclusion and Recommendations
    Summarize key findings and provide suggestions for future activities.

  9. Acknowledgements (optional)
    To parties who provided funding or support for the activities.

  10. References
    Use APA Style (latest edition). Reference management tools like Mendeley or Zotero are recommended. At least 10 references, with more than 60% from journals or scientific publications.

5. Figures and Tables

  • Figures and tables must include clear captions and be placed near the related text.

  • Use Arabic numbering (Table 1, Figure 1, etc.).

  • Images must be high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi).

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
